Daniel Richer dit LaFlèche I am Wabenakis of the Algonquin Nation and my Grand=Parents came from Odanak a reserve outside of Trois-Rivière in the province of Québec. They left the area to go work in lumberjack camps near Kitigan Zibi. I was raised in Hull Québec and studied in our region and around the world in acting (Saint-Hyacinthe, Paris, New York, and London) I have done two National tours for the Ontario and the federal government as a storyteller and MC sharing our traditional First Nation legends. I am the francophone voice on inter-active native stories on the Heritage Canada site. I am also the french voice of natives at the Canadian Museum of History the Canadian War Museum as well as an on-camera native actor for the short film on the ‘’Battle of the Plains of Abraham’’. I am the Master of Ceremony for the Native Nursing Awards Ceremony and have been for the past 4 years. I am also the Master of ceremony for the First Nation’s day of Remembrance Ceremony for our Veterans held in Ottawa on the 21st of June. I do about 50 to a hundred schools a year with Legends of Mother Earth and give Talking-Stick’s Workshops. I Have shared our stories in France, Australia, New-Zeal and, Holland and Germany as well as in several states of the USA. I have proudly personified several of our great chiefs on stage and on television including playing Tecumseh for the Canadian Federal Government on Canada Day in front of an audience of about 75,000 people. I do guide tours of the National Capital Region for VIPs including the National Defense and Embassy Guest giving a Native perspective on Ottawa-Gatineau. I have been hired to share native culture and traditions for several corporations and government entity and I give workshops for teachers all over Canada.
