Michael is married and has two adult children; currently attending the University of Alberta and NAIT.  He completed his Bachelor of Education Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Manitoba and his Masters in Education in Educational Studies in Leadership at the University of Alberta.  He recently completed his Masters in Religious Education at Newman Theological College.  Currently in his 29th year in teaching, Michael has been a classroom and resource teacher, technology and special education coordinator as well as an administrator.  He has taught students from K-12 in both the public and separate school systems; and is currently teaching junior high social studies, religion, and health at Sacred Heart School in Wetaskiwin with STAR Catholic School Division.   In his spare time he refs minor hockey and lacrosse, curls, volunteers as a member of the Knights of Columbus, and enjoys travelling.
