Do you want to create a calmer classroom to support your students’ learning needs, but need some tools to get started? This session will showcase easy-to-use resources to teach stress awareness, self-calming techniques and calming brain break ideas for all division levels. Discover evidence-based tools that you can use right away to create calm in yourself and in your classroom.  Importance: To be ready to learn, students need be in a regulated state. This session provides participants with resources and tools to help students develop this ability. Learnings: Participants will learn about stress awareness and how to help student develop self-calming strategies to deal with toxic stress. Focus: Participants will discuss what contributes to a calm classroom. Takeaways: Participants will explore evidence based tools that can support teachers to create a calm classroom environment to enhance student learning.be provided a list of resources and will be able identify at least one new tool to apply in their classroom
