Using Foley to Explore and Create

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

What is foley? What can students learn about foley that will enhance their learning in the music classroom? This session will share a project that can be used with division 2 students in Music to help explore sound and timbre. Let's explore and create together! You will be given links to share with students that teach about how sound and music is used to enhance film. Students can then take what they have learned and add all the sound effects to a short animated film. How can traditional instruments be explored? How can we create with other non-traditional sounds?
