Come learn and play a variety of NEW grade 4 to 6 math games that use dice as manipulatives. The games are closely aligned with the Alberta mathematics curriculum and provide excellent opportunities for students to have sustained, engaged practice of mathematics concepts (the way the brain most efficiently commits concepts to permanent memory). Games management strategies to maximize learning and differentiate the games to meet students' individual needs will be modeled and highlighted throughout the workshop. A handout with game rules and game boards will be provided. Samples of student work will also be shared.
