Science in 3D

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

3D printers are becoming increasingly common in Libraries, Learning Commons and CTS departments. However, except in rare instances they haven't found a major niche in science departments. In this session Ian will provide several examples of how 3D printers can and should be used to teach science. These examples range from the very simple models and demos to amazing science tools and techniques applicable to any level from Kindergarten to High School and beyond. Learn how to search databases for 3D projects or design your own project from scratch. Come explore the possibilities of Science in 3D. No prior experience with 3D printers is required.
