Working Smarter Not Harder: Using Moodle in CTS

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This session will be about how you can use Moodle (an online learning management system) to offer a multi-purpose CTS program at your school. It will specifically explore how the Communication Technology program at Spruce Grove Composite High School is set up and offered as well as some other examples of Moodle being used in other CTS programs. Moodle has enabled us to easily offer 41 different modules to students across the 10, 20, 30 Comm Tech program and is delivered in a very student directed learning model where students choose the different modules that they want to complete and work through them at their own pace. The use of Moodle has greatly facilitated this process and has made things like tracking, organizing and grading student progress much easier and has also helped gather and organize resources and lessons for students in a logical and easy to acquire manner. Hopefully this session will inspire you or give you the confidence to use Moodle yourself or what you can offer in your own program.
