What’s a profession without a professional community? Too often, we carry out our day-to-day tasks in isolation as we look forward to those three or four days a year when we can come together with others and share ideas and stories, successes and failures. Those days are often some of the best in our teaching year, so why not make that accessible year-round? This session will have two parts: the first will explore how both podcasting and social media can help us come together in an effective community to increase not just the quality of our lessons, but also the quality of our professional lives. The second will be a live recording of The Ed Podcast - complete with audience participation - as we continue to ponder the value of creating a year-round teaching community.
